Exercise
Walk 30 minutes, pushing stroller (We tried out our jogging stroller for the first time and it did OK. I don't like that the front wheel doesn't really turn, but I think we'll just have to get used to it before we like it.)

Do be 10 Again...

My name is Annie and I have a 3 month old baby girl. I have 20 extra pounds from before I was pregnant and I have a few more extra pounds from before that. I'm hoping to use this blog as my journey to a size 10 again.

This is actually somewhat embarrassing for me, because I'm chosing not to make this a private blog. This means that the few of my friends that read my other blogs may eventually stumble upon this, and know all my dirty little secrets, like my weight and current pant size. (I know they aren't going to judge me about it or anything, but it's still embarrassing). I don't think this blog will be anything interesting, so maybe they will lose interest. But, the reason I am not making this a private blog is because then I would only be accountable to myself. Even if no one ever reads this, or ever comments, I know it's out there for anyone to read. And that (hopefully) will help me stay on track.

When I weighed myself this morning, the scale said 186.00. That is exactly 20 pounds more than I weighed when I first visited my doctor about 'trying' to get pregnant. I gained 40 pounds during my pregnany and went up a few pant sizes. The first 20 pounds seemed to melt right off after Emilia was born. I know I'm going to have to work on the next 20, and then keep going. Yes, I know that this isn't going to be a quick thing, and I'm OK with that. Everyone always says 'It took 9 months to put it on, it will take at least that long to come back off'. I sometimes wish I was one of those lucky types that seem to go right back to their pre-preggo body with little to no effort on their part. But, I've never had that type of body, so I know it's not going to start now. If I want to lose weight and get fit, it's up to me to do the work.

I want to get back into my size 10 jeans; most of my favorite pairs are that size. I'm currently in a size 14/16, so I've got some work to do. I also want to fit back into my size Medium scrub pants and athletic pants. Scrubs are currently a size Large and other pants are size Large or X-Large. I want to be able to wear my Medium T-Shirts and tops again, instead of the Larges I'm in right now. I just really want to be able to get dressed and like the way I look. I know all of this will be a long process. If it took 9 months to put on, I want to see how far I can get in the 9 months after...I'm already 3 months in and have a minimum of 20 pounds to go. So, I have until January-ish to get back where I was. (Hopefully)

My plan is to blog daily. I want to list the following things: my current weight, what I ate the day before and when I exercise. I've tried writing these things in a journal before and haven't ever made it past a couple weeks...so, we will see how well I do with this. I really should have started at the beginning of a week, so I can track how many weeks, blah blah. But, I think Mondays are always hard, so it's probably better that today is Day 1. But, I will still list what I ate yesterday, as appalling as it will be.

Breakfast:
-1 Sausage Burrito from McDonald's
-Large Sprite
-Pop Tarts (an hour later)
-Glass of Skim Milk

Morning Snack:
-Cheddar Cheese Quakes (rice cakes)

Lunch:
-SmartOnes Broccoli and Potatos with Cheese (actually very yummy!)
-Chips and Salsa
-Sprite

Afternoon Snack(s):
-Banana
-Chips and Salsa
-90 Calorie Ice Cream Bar

Dinner:
-QDOBA burrito
-Large Sprite

Dessert:
-Small bowl of ice cream
